- VIPS restaurants have renewed their agreement as official suppliers of the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and their collaboration with Universo Mujer (Women’s Universe), a comprehensive program that promotes women’s sports.
VIPS, one of the top restaurant brands in Spain, has renewed its commitment with the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) as the official supplier of the Spanish national women’s and men’s basketball teams.
VIPS is thus reaffirming its support for the institution and Universo Mujer (Women’s Universe), a comprehensive program led by the Spanish Basketball Federation in collaboration with the Spanish Higher Council for Sports to promote women’s sports and the values it is capable of transmitting as a tool for social improvement and transformation.
Under the agreement, VIPS will continue to actively participate in men's and women's teams' preparation tours, promoting events in different Spanish cities.
Moreover, it will continue to engage in various initiatives to foster healthy habits, the development of equal relations between men and women and employability through workshops, talks and games held in collaboration with Universo Mujer and various social organizations. Nearly 300 people in vulnerable situations have participated in these initiatives over the last two years of collaboration, which will be expanded in this second phase.
The agreement was renewed today at a lunch held in the VIPS restaurant at Paseo de la Castellana 280 in Madrid attended by the Jorge Garbajosa, President of the FEB, and María Jesús García, General Manager of VIPS.
