Starbucks has just opened a new location in Liberdade Street Fashion, arriving in the city of Braga for the first time ever.
The inauguration of this store, which has 15 new baristas, took place today and featured the presence of Firmino Marques, Vice-President of the Municipal Chamber of Braga.
For this very special day, Starbucks “has shown its best face” to kick off the São João de Braga festival celebrations, decorating the main entrance of the store for the occasion with a flowered arcade and the presence of a traditional “cabezudo” (a carnival figure with an oversized head), which welcomed all guests.
This new location on one of the most emblematic avenues in the city features a relaxed atmosphere, peaceful music, free Wi-Fi and the smell of recently ground coffee. The baristas can prepare more than 86,000 artisan beverage combinations with 100% Arabica coffee of the best quality.
“Braga is no doubt an important city for us and we’re very proud of this new opening which continues the Starbucks expansion in Portugal. We’ve arrived in the heart of the city and want to guarantee a unique experience for each one of our customers in this lovely city,” said Luís Rocha e Mello, Director of Operations for Starbucks Coffee Portugal.
The elegant and minimalist decoration uses dark wood for verticality and a youthful and trendy look and feel. The colorful wall at the back of the premises displays a coffee-themed painting showing the different phases from harvesting to drinking.
The entrance to the location, situated on the side of Liberdade Street Fashion, has a facade decorated with wooden batten and a terrace with 22 seats in addition to the 46 inside.
Starbucks fans can enjoy this new store Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
With these new premises, the brand now has a total of 17 Starbucks stores in Portugal as it pursues its national expansion plan.
