Grupo Vips is to present its franchise model in La Rioja

    Madrid, June 15, 2016. Grupo Vips, one of the leading groups in the food service and retail sector in Spain, is presenting its franchising project on Wednesday, June 22nd at an open meeting in La Rioja.

    The Director of Franchise Sales and Marketing at Grupo Vips, Ignacio Bonilla, will present the three concepts comprising the company’s franchise portfolio at this event which will take place at the hotel NH Logroño Herencia Rioja (Marqués de Murrieta, 14 - 26005 Logroño, La Rioja) at 5:30 p.m.: VIPS, the original brand and the Group’s flagship, GINOS, its Italian proposal, and VIPSmart, the pioneer “Fast Casual” concept based on the most iconic VIPS dishes without table service.


    The Grupo Vips’ commitment to franchising as a means of growth

    Franchising is now the main means of growth for Grupo Vips. This model allows it to take advantage of synergies between a franchisee’s local market knowledge and the know-how, experience and support of a leading multi-brand and multi-format group with more than 45 years of history.

    This growth has gotten stronger with a complete overhaul of the VIPS and GINOS brands, which have improved the experience offered to customers with all-new decor, updated recipes with high quality ingredients and the best customer service offered by teams trained on-site as well as the launch of the Club VIPS App for its pioneer loyalty club and leader of the restaurant sector in Spain. Moreover, the brands’ gluten-free offers are being enhanced this year in collaboration with the main coeliac disease associations.

    The project continues to grow with a total of 49 establishments currently being operated under the franchise system: 13 VIPS, 17 VIPSmart and 19 GINOS.
