Grupo Vips joins the “La Caixa” program Incorpora aimed at hiring people at risk of social exclusion

  • Grupo Vips is thus reinforcing its commitment to its “Road to Employment” program aimed at improving the employability of groups in vulnerable situations.
Madrid, 19th June, 2018.

Grupo Vips and Obra Social “La Caixa" have signed a collaboration agreement to foster job insertion among people at risk of social exclusion through the financial institution’s Incorpora program. The objective is to increase the hiring of people in vulnerable situations as well as the provision of information, training and advice to participating companies. By joining Incorpora, Grupo Vips is reinforcing the food service company’s “Road to Employment” program, which seeks to improve the employability of people at risk of social exclusion.

The agreement was signed at CaixaForum Madrid by Enrique Francia, CEO of Grupo VIPS, and Marc Simón, Assistant Managing Director of the “La Caixa” bank foundation.

As part of this agreement, Grupo Vips will hire people at risk of exclusion throughout Spain through the Incopora program. With this program, Grupo Vips will communicate the various positions to be covered, a demand that will be shared with the institutions that are part of the program which pre-select candidates.

Incorpora: fostering job integration

Incorpora was set up in 2006 to build bridges between companies and social organizations dedicated to job integration to create a climate of collaboration and opportunities for those most in need. The initiative is aimed at people with a handicap, young people at risk of exclusion, immigrants, former prisoners, victims of gender violence and the long-term unemployed.

Incorpora offers companies free consulting and guidance with regard to corporate social responsibility actions; in this case, focusing on the job integration of people in vulnerable situations.

The consolidation of the project, even in the current economic atmosphere, makes it clear that companies can contribute through this program to improving their most immediate environment by mitigating unemployment.
