Ginos arrives in historic downtown Cordoba

  • The all-new restaurant, which is internally-owned and operated, created 18 new jobs in the city.

Ginos, the Grupo Vips Italian food brand, opened its first restaurant today in Cordoba, at no. 1 Calle Ángel Saavedra in the city’s historic downtown area just five minutes from the Mosque and 200 meters from Plaza de las Tendillas.

The all-new Ginos Cordoba, which involved the creation of 18 jobs, has a surface area of 321 m2 and the capacity for 102 diners, 86 in the dining room and 16 on the terrace. Thus, Cordoba can now enjoy the Ginos gastronomy offering, which is known for its made-to-order Italian recipes which include quality products imported directly from Italy, in a modern and cosmopolitan atmosphere that combines the warmth of its decor with a country-industrial inspiration.

It’s the seventh Ginos in Andalusia, where the brand already has 4 restaurants in Seville and 3 in Malaga. This opening confirms the Ginos expansion plans in Spain.

Top quality recipes and a cosmopolitan atmosphere

Ginos has arrived in Cordoba with the brand’s all-new renovated image, which is known for an urban style that has very little to do with traditional trattoria decor. It’s a very cosmopolitan country-industrial design, inspired by the trends being seen in the most cutting-edge cities such as London and New York, which plays with a mix of materials, atmospheres and lights to create a modern and cozy setting.

The Ginos culinary offering is known for its authentic Italian recipes where artisan processes predominate the preparation of their dishes, made to order, in the open-view oven where they prepare pizzas, bread and focaccia.

Their dishes are made with top quality raw materials and ingredients, including references directly imported from Italy such as the dry and fresh pasta from Puglia, arrototala (rolled) pancetta bacon and the Pecorino, Parmiggiano, Emilia Romagna and 100% buffalo mozzarella cheeses from southern Italy used in some of its pizza and pasta recipes.

Plus, Ginos has a re-worked and award-winning gluten-free menu which includes versions of some of their most iconic dishes like their famous Cioccolatissimo, an offer that was recently recognized by the Spanish Federation of Coeliac Disease Associations (FACE) in the latest edition of their annual awards.
