Fridays arrives in Puerto Banús through Grupo Vips

    Marbella; July 22, 2016. Fridays, the leading “casual dining” chain in the USA, has opened a new location in Puerto Banús. This chain, which is already present in more than 60 countries with more than 900 restaurants around the world, has been operated in Spain by Grupo Vips since 1992.

    But Fridays is much more than an American food restaurant. Besides the culinary proposals and main ingredients of the successful Fridays formula, customers can enjoy the best atmosphere as great times are guaranteed at Fridays because, at Fridays, every day is Friday!

    The new restaurant is the perfect place to gather together with friends and meet new people in a fun, energy-filled environment to get away from the day-to-day routines and feel the freedom and happiness of Friday again. And sports fans can catch the passion and power of the spirit of sports as Fridays is the perfect Sports Bar where people can enjoy watching the best events and games on giant screens while having a cold beer with friends. 

    For its entry into the Malaga market, the brand chose a privileged location on avenida Julio Iglesias in Puerto Banús. The new and spectacular restaurant has a surface area of 500 square meters (140 of which are on the patio) with a capacity for more than 250 diners, employing 54 workers.

    With this new opening, Grupo Vips now has a total of 10 locations in the province of Malaga (1 Fridays, 2 Vips, 2 Ginos and 5 Starbucks) and a total of 13 Fridays restaurants throughout Spain (11 in Madrid, 1 in Seville and 1 in Malaga).


    A spectacular restaurant with the first Fridays open kitchen:

    Fridays Puerto Banús is also the first restaurant with the brand’s all-new design to be unveiled in Spain. It’s a concept that is reflected in and outside its restaurants.

    Standing out among the new developments is the open kitchen, where for the first time ever in Spain diners may see how their dishes are made right in front of them. Plus, there is a bar in the middle of the premises as the focus of the restaurant and where their experienced bartenders will welcome everyone who wishes to enjoy a well-prepared cocktail.

    The Fridays image has matured and has been updated with high quality materials and decor that makes for a warmer atmosphere all while maintaining and transmitting the contagious Fridays energy and vitality the brand is known for.


    American food and the American spirit come together in this fun restaurant

    At the spectacular Puerto Banús Fridays, American food fans will be able to try their delicious dishes and spectacular cocktails, prepared at the bar in front of customers by their experienced bartenders. 

    The extensive menu includes dishes made with their famous Jack Daniel’s® sauce like the wisely seasoned and grilled Jack Daniel’s® Burger with strips of crunchy bacon and Monterey Jack cheese on a toasted bun; or Ribs seasoned with Cajun spices using the master formula imported directly from the USA and always served with crunchy, seasoned fries.

    Other star dishes including appetizers like their Nachos, which are handmade daily, and Buffalo Wings: traditional New York-style wings marinated in spicy sauce fried golden. And above all, the mythic Loaded Potato Skins: a Fridays classic since 1974. Golden potatoes, filled with melted cheddar cheese, crunchy bacon and served with sour cream and spring onions.

    Completing the menu are their desserts with sweets like the classic Oreo Madness: an iconic dessert with two giant Oreo® Cookie sandwiches and vanilla ice cream, covered in chocolate and caramel sauce.
