- Its opening has meant the creation of 30 jobs and it is the third restaurant of the brand in Spain, the first in a shopping center. Also this year, wagamama will open its fourth location at the Plaza Rio 2 shopping center.

wagamama, the leading international brand of pan-Asian cuisine managed in Spain and Portugal by Grupo Vips, has opened its doors at Parquesur, the largest shopping, leisure and catering center in the Community of Madrid, which is located in Leganes. This is the third wagamama restaurant in Spain and the first in a shopping center and its opening is due to the success of the brand launch in Spain in the spring of this year, with the opening of its first two restaurants in the streets of Serrano and Genoa, in the center of the capital.
The new Parquesur wagamama restaurant has created 30 jobs and has a capacity for almost 300 diners between its hall (112) and its large terrace (184). Located in the emblematic area of Lago de Parksur, the new wagamama has the characteristics that have made the brand an international success since its creation in London in 1992. Fresh and nutritious cuisine, cooked at the moment and in view of its diners, different areas ranging from benches to tables at the bar, to be enjoyed alone or with friends, healthy recipes, tasty and daring as is its own name (wagamama means "mischievous child" in Japanese): ramens, teppanyaki, curries, donburis and sides to accompany one of their freshly squeezed juices or their Asian beers and, of course, free green tea and refills as much as our guest desires.
Growth in Spain and Portugal
wagamama was launched in Spain for the first time in April of this year, its first restaurant was met with a great reception, and it is located at number 41 Serrano Street in Madrid. A success that was duplicated in June with the second flagship of the brand, located at 27 Genoa Street, which is also in the center of the capital. The Parquesur is the third of its brand in Spain, which will add before the end of the year a fourth restaurant in the new Plaza Río 2 shopping center.
Grupo Vips plans to open 20 wagamama in Spain and Portugal in the next five years, which will generate around 1,000 jobs.
