Madrid, July 22, 2016 - Grupo Vips y and the British based pan-Asian restaurant chain Wagamama (www.wagamama.com) announce the signing today of an exclusive franchisee agreement for development and operations in Spain and Portugal. The opening of the first Wagamama in Spain is targeted for Q1, 2017 in Madrid, to be followed by inaugurations of sites nationally as well as in the Portuguese market.
Wagamama is a leading international restaurant chain, specialising in pan-Asian cuisine in the segment of “casual dining”. There are currently 158 locations in 18 countries. Wagamama was founded in 1992 and recent growth of the brand has included agreements for expansion in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
