Madrid; May 3, 2017 – VIPS Smart has just opened its first restaurant downtown Madrid. It’s an innovative concept that offers the essence of VIPS restaurants in a fast environment.
VIPS Smart is the VIPS “fast casual” option. It consists of a selection of the most iconic VIPS dishes with the same quality yet faster service from a counter. It offers sandwiches, hamburgers, salads, pizzas, appetizers, pancakes, shakes, desserts, a kid’s menu and gluten-free dishes cooked to order and served with a meticulous presentation.
With an open kitchen and non-stop service from 9:00 to midnight (until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), this VIPS Smart provides a cozy and modern setting with a lot of natural light from the large street-view windows, connectivity tables to charge mobile devices, free high-speed Wi-Fi and free soft drink refills.
The all-new VIPS Smart, which created 20 jobs, is located at number 93 on Calle Santa Engracia and has a surface area of 184 m2 with the capacity to host 110 customers between its dining room and extensive terrace.

The VIPS Smart expansion model is mixed as it is growing through internally-owned openings, as is the case of the all-new VIPS Smart on Santa Engracia street, as well as under franchise agreements. Currently, the VIPS Smart brand is being operated via 18 franchises in 11 Spanish provinces in addition to 4 internally-owned premises, all in Madrid.
The VIPS family is currently comprised of 22 VIPS Smart, 96 VIPS restaurants and 22 VIPS Shops.
