Zaragoza; December 20, 2016. Vips, the original brand and flagship of Grupo Vips, the leading multi-brand and multi-format company in the restaurant and retail sector in Spain, has just inaugurated a new restaurant in Zaragoza at the Puerto Venecia shopping resort. With this second Vips, which is internally-owned, Grupo Vips is reinforcing its commitment to the Zaragoza market where it already has two Vips restaurants, two GINOS and a Starbucks store.
The new Vips covers a surface area of 331m2 and has capacity for a total of 230 diners. This opening involved the creation of 31 jobs and Vips now has 117 restaurants throughout Spain among its Vips and Vips Smart brands including 85 internally-owned and 32 operated by franchisees.
José María Pérez, Vips Director of Marketing, explained that “Aragón is a key region for Grupo Vips which has had a historical relationship with Zaragoza that has been going strong for more than 30 years. We chose Puerto Venecia to open up our second Vips restaurant as it is a strategic enclave and a reference in the region’s retail and leisure offering”.
VIPS is known for its “Really open” concept which means an extensive and attractive offering for all tastes, ages and eating times throughout the day with extended opening hours starting with breakfast and ending with late suppers. Its varied offering includes everything from the brand’s classic dishes like its famous Vips Club Sandwich and shakes to trendy dishes and ingredients for healthy eating like bulgur, kale and its Green Vitality green juice. The arrival of Vips Puerto Venecia also coincides with the limited launch of its Christmas Edition pancakes - delicious Christmas pancakes made on the grill with bits of caramelized almonds and chocolate.
The new Vips has an extensive menu of the day which is updated each week and a child's menu starting at €7.95. They also have a gluten-free menu which has just been named by FACE (Spanish Federation of Coeliac Associations) as the best restaurant offering for people with coeliac disease.
