- The new Starbucks store of El Corte Inglés Vigo Shopping Center with its opening has created 15 jobs.
- The store's design was conceived to provide an atmosphere of visibility and warmth, which helps generate the authentic Starbucks experience.
Starbucks, the world's first coffee roaster, today opened its doors at El Corte Inglés Vigo Shopping Center (Av. Gran Via, 28). It is the first Starbucks store in this city and the third in Galicia, where the brand already has two establishments in A Coruna.
The opening of this store is part of the expansion plan, with which Starbucks intends to consolidate its presence in this autonomous community. In this sense, Galicia is a key region both for its potential as a local market as well as its status as a tourist enclave for thousands of people every year.
"We are very delighted to convey our passion for coffee for the first time to Vigo. For some time Vigo local have asked us to come to their city and we want to reciprocate as best we can: by offering unique experiences through the knowledge and dedication of our baristas, “said Álvaro Salafranca, CEO of Starbucks in Spain and Portugal.
Visibility and warmth that convey the authentic Starbucks experience
The new Starbucks of El Corte Inglés of Vigo is located in an excellent location within the shopping center and will have a terrace that is visible from the exterior. The shop has a surface area of 125 m2, divided between the interior area and the terrace.
For its design, the store has been inspired in the concept of a low-relief island, so that it is visible from both the main entrance and the terrace. To reinforce this sensation, the furniture that is usually placed behind the bar has been replaced by a metal structure, which simulates a crown and gives prominence to this area.
Next to the bar, a seating area welcomes guests and offers a warm welcome to all who visit the shopping center. This area has dark wood panels that provide warmth to the space and which have been adorned with illustrations made on the wood itself. In this way, every piece of art tells the story of what we do and our brand values.
To provide unity within the entire space, the terrace incorporates the same decoration as the interior of the bar area. Thus, the Starbucks experience extends itself uniformly throughout our store.
