Madrid; November 23, 2016.- Grupo Vips and its VIPS, GINOS and FRIDAYS restaurants were recognized by FACE (Spanish Federation of Coeliac Disease Associations) as the best restaurant chains for people with coeliac disease in Spain following open voting among all of its members and social media followers.
The award, which will be handed out at a ceremony on November 26th, recognizes the work and commitment of Grupo Vips’ VIPS, GINOS and FRIDAYS restaurants on behalf of this group of people. It’s a commitment that dates back to 2007, when VIPS added the first dishes for people with coeliac disease and became the first restaurant chain in 2013 with a gluten-free offering at all of its locations. This commitment to people with coeliac disease has revealed itself through various improvements and expansions in the gluten-free offerings at Grupo Vips brands and was reinforced once again this year with the complete renovation of the VIPS and GINOS gluten-free menus and the addition for the first time ever of gluten-free dishes at all FRIDAYS restaurants. These offerings were created with the help of the brands’ actual coeliac customers and with the most demanding safety protocols as well as in close collaboration with the main coeliac associations.

The all-new gluten-free VIPS, FRIDAYS and GINOS offerings are part of the commitment to healthy food undertaken by Grupo Vips, which is constantly working on its culinary offering to offer customers the tastiest options which best adapt to their preferences and needs.
People with gluten intolerance can now enjoy some of the most iconic VIPS dishes such as their famous VIPS Club Sandwich and Sautéed Oriental Chicken in addition to improved gluten-free recipes of their well-known VIPS pancakes, Super Bacon Cheese Burger and cheese nachos.
Fridays, the leader in the best American cuisine, also launched gluten-free versions of a selection of its most well-known dishes this year such as its BBQ Ribs, Classic Buffalo Wings and the Mexican Burger.
On the other hand, GINOS has included improved gluten-free pasta and pizza recipes on its menu such as the all-new Spaghetti Bolognese and Spaghetti Panna e Prosciutto, its Piemontese and Prosciutto pizzas, “antipasti” and delicious desserts like its Tiramisù Gelato and famous Cioccolatissimo.
