Madrid; June 15, 2017. British Sandwich Factory (BSF), the Grupo Vips’s premium sandwich, salad and take-away product factory, is presenting a new line of quality frozen products which reinforces its growth and internationalization plans.
British Sandwich Factory is the leader in the segment of artisan sandwiches made with top quality products and up until now, they were only available fresh. “The all-new line of BSF frozen products maintains the same premium quality we’re known for and allows us to offer our products outside the Iberian Peninsula, something our customers were asking for”, says Román Esteban, Director of BSF.
The BSF frozen food line, which includes products like sandwiches, wraps and various Grab & Go specialties, will maintain the brand’s same typology, quality ingredients and identity mark. BSF is thus positioning itself as a pioneer in the market by offering premium quality frozen take away products.
With this new production line, BSF is confirming the brand’s internationalization and expansion into new markets like France, Italy and Portugal thanks to its positioning in different channels such as hotel and restaurants, retail, travel channel and food service. This commitment to internationalization is further reinforced by the brand’s recent certification by International Food Standard (IFS), one of the most well-known food safety standards in the world.
With annual turnover exceeding 8 million euros and producing 5.5 million items each year, BSF is subject to an ambitious 4-year growth plan which aims to diversify its current customer portfolio. Currently, BSF supplies its products and services to more than 60 professional customers with daily nationwide service in Spain to more than 400 points of sale including leading companies in the various distribution channels.
